Liaison Committee

Duties:

The Liaison Committee shall consider, advise, and make recommendations to the Council with respect to all aspects of the relationships between the corporation and other technical and professional societies. Additionally, one member of the Liaison Committee, appointed by the President, will serve as liaison between the Society and other standards making organizations on matters affecting the development and establishment of standards relating to or associated with biomaterials.

Composition:

The chairperson of the Liaison Committee shall be appointed to serve a four-year term, such appointment being made by the President in term, starting in 1984 and every 4th year thereafter. The number of members of the Liaison Committee shall be four to be appointed annually by the President on the recommendation of the Chairperson.

The goals of this committee include identifying opportunities for collaboration with the ORS, MRS, BMES and other organizations at the Society's Annual Meeting and throughout the year.
