Cardiovascular biomaterials can be basically divided in three broad catogories. They are:

1. Absorbable Polymers

2. Non-absorbable Polymers

3. Metals

The cardiovascular biomaterials section of this website is an ongoing initiative to create a database of all the biomaterials that are used for cardiovascular applications. Currently since it is new, all the biomaterials may not be cited or listed here.

The biomaterials listed in here are also linked with the corresponding cardiovascular devices where they are used, if they are used.

Please feel free to suggest us cardiovascular biomaterials to be included in this database.
